SCOTT KURT
Jul 21 @ 11:00 am – 2:30 pm
SCOTT KURT

Scott Kurt grew up in America’s Rust Belt, and the grittiness of his roots is evident in every aspect of his music. From his debut album, “Ragged But Right”, recorded with his band Memphis 59, to his first solo effort “Down This Road”, he captures the essence of hard living, hard work and hard times in deeply personal lyrics delivered by a whiskey-tinged bar room voice wrapped up inside a whole lot of full-tilt country-rock guitar.

PFTV’s music is highlighted by bass-driven grooves, reggae rhythms, and soulful cadences, sometimes alternating between funk, pop, blues and reggae within the same song.Their music often contains mood-altering, harmonic minor-based or bluesy vocals and guitar solos, and rhythmically-improvised heavy bass lines.

The band currently performs locally in the DC Metro area at bars, clubs, wineries, corporate events and private parties. KENNEY HOLMES

Kenney’s vocal style and instrumental prowess has wowed audiences for over 40 years nationally and internationally. He has been compared to BB King perhaps because his choice of instrument is a gold gilded “Lucille” guitar inlaid with mother of pearl or maybe it is just that he plays the blues with the intensity of a seasonal blues man. He has also been compared to the likes of George Benson and Wes Montgomery as Kenney is an accomplished jazz guitarist and vocalist.
