The Thistle Brothers (Cameron and Devin) are a brotherly duo making music for a cause. Each single that they release is connected to an organization that helps to make the world a better place, and the money made from the singles (through streams, purchases and donations) is sent to the organizations. They hope that their music can not only please the ears of their listeners, but also help to make the world a better place alongside the organizations that their music is connected with.
Karen Jonas’s intensely personal songwriting first grabbed national attention with the release of her critically acclaimed 2014 debut album Oklahoma Lottery. Three years of non-stop touring with her guitarist Tim Bray have produced a smoldering live act that’s left audiences breathless across the country, culminating in their much-anticipated sophomore release Country Songs, which is currently charting on both the US and UK Americana charts.
Part of the now retired, very popular 10 piece band OTR, K & D is excited to be performing live again at FBL in this new configuration! With Kat Brais on vocals and Fred Muller on keys, this duo will be sharing pared down song arrangements ranging from American standards to Lady Gaga and everything in between and looks forward to hearing the audience sing along!
JParis Rock Band was born out of a group of individuals with great ambition and a positive outlook on their musical journey. Frank McCreary has been a singer/guitarist in the Maryland Virginia Washington DC area since the mid-1980s. His strong vocals and smooth guitar playing are the perfect combination for his music. Frank play songs from artists such as James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Eagles, Cat Stevens, the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, and many more. He has been the front man for several very popular bands in the Maryland area and has enjoyed success in many venues, including Orioles Park at Camden Yards, M&T BANK stadium, all the areas casinos, and all major Maryland and DC night clubs. Frank has even performed at the French Embassy. Frank and his bands have opened up for multiple musical stars over the years, and Frank is currently recording his own music where he lives in Westminster Maryland. Frank has had success recording with multiple other artists, and had a recording in the rotation for Grammy nomination in 2011.
Scott Kurt grew up in America’s Rust Belt, and the grittiness of his roots is evident in every aspect of his music. From his debut album, “Ragged But Right”, recorded with his band Memphis 59, to his first solo effort “Down This Road”, he captures the essence of hard living, hard work and hard times in deeply personal lyrics delivered by a whiskey-tinged bar room voice wrapped up inside a whole lot of full-tilt country-rock guitar.

Melodime, featuring Brad Rhodes (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Sammy Duis (piano, organ, bass), Tyler Duis (drums), and Jon Wiley (bg vocals, guitar, mandolin, dobro), perform over a hundred shows annually throughout the continental United States, all while running a charity, ‘Now I Play Along Too,’ which provides musical instruments and lessons to underprivileged children.
David is seasoned musician and has been performing since he was 9 years old. His versatility in the local music scene has made him a house hold name in the DC area with influential styles of pop, rock, reggae, hip-hop, and indie. Though first and foremost a vocalist and rhythm guitar player, he also has performed drums, bass, and keys with various bands.
A Maryland native, Shane Gamble embodies what it means to be a working musician. Shane attacks his guitar with passion and sings jangly songs about the good times with a distinctly American feel. Close your eyes and imagine if Tom Petty or Bruce Springsteen were to emerge now on Country radio, then added a modern twist…that’s Shane.
Married duo, Blair’s West, Beau and “Junior”, got their start in Nashville back in 2010. They were married in 2009 and after pursuing music separately they naturally fell into making music together. They have played together all over the country and after starting a family they made the decision to relocate to be near family. They are now based out of Richmond, VA, where they continue to perform together.
Brian Franke is an independent award-winning singer/songwriter residing in the Washington, DC area. He is known as both a frequently booked cover song musician as well as an original songwriter. His cover songs range from classic rock songs, to 90s alternative rock, to Top 40 songs currently on the radio.
