With songs ranging in genre from anthem-esque ballads to danceable rock-reggae to straight up rock and roll, it’s no wonder Bruno de Lima-Campos finds it hard to pinpoint his music to one particular category. Having begun at age 11 with classical and flamenco lessons and gradually applying his teachings to the electric and steel string acoustic guitar, Bruno’s unique stylings truly have a sound all their own. After stints as a lead guitarist and songwriter for many acclaimed bands (most notably Crowded Streets, a Dave Matthews tribute band), Bruno decided it was time to give his fans a bigger taste of his personal musical journey, and thus, TheBrunoSound was born.

Gabe Badillo (aka Gabs Matthews) is the focal point of the band. Drawing from years of experience on stage, his ability to emulate Dave’s vocals and stage presence is uncanny. When the spirit takes him, Gabe treats audience members to his spot-on renditions of Dave’s signature footwork and anecdotal stage chatter—all adding to the authenticity of the performance.
Sharif – who is currently earning his Masters at the Berklee College of Music – has made quite a name for himself on the touring front, vacillating from playing intimate solo acoustic shows of his original material to belting out cover tunes (from Rihanna’s “Disturbia” to Maroon 5’s “Won’t Go Home Without You” to Beastie Boys “Girls”) at biker bars to playing one of his favorite genres of music, oldies, at retirement centers (because he wants to, not because he has to) to corporate gigs for Gap and Amstel Light to opening for the likes of Jason Mraz, Kenny Loggins, Rhett Miller, Rusted Root, and Blake Shelton.
“Music consumes me,” explains Sharif, who has approximately 2,000 shows around the world under his belt. “I just love playing music, teaching music, learning more about music, and doing whatever I can to get there.”
